MARION (WSIL) -- News 3 is learning more about an incident that led to the arrest of two individuals in Marion Saturday night and

Officers were initially called to the area after a complaint of someone throwing beer bottles from a rooftop at passing cars in the 200 block of East Main Street, just a block south of Pookie's Bar & Grill.

While looking for the person responsible for throwing the beer bottles, officers and firefighters encountered Jeramey K. Brown Jr, 22 of Benton, outside of Pookie's. Brown allegedly became hostile with police officers and also began yelling at bar patrons.

As police approached Brown, who was standing in the road with two open alcohol containers, he began to walk back into the bar, but was denied re-entry. Brown reportedly pushed the female bartender to get back inside the building and officers attempted to arrest him.

In a widely shared video on social media, three police officers can be seen fighting on the ground to get Brown to put his arms behind his back. One officer can be seen punching Brown in the back as they work to gain control of his arms and a fourth officer uses a Taser.
