CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- More than 3,000 Buckminster Fuller artifacts arrived in Carbondale Friday. Most of those items are Fuller's books, but tables, chairs and other pieces of art returned to his dome home, where they will remain on display as part of the continuing restoration and preservation, of the Fuller legacy.
This is a donation from the Fuller family, Allegra Fuller-Snyder and her children: Alexandria Snyder, and Jamie Snyder.
The Dome's library will keep around 500 of the books -- the remaining books made their way to Morris Library Archives where students and researchers will have access to study them.
