CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- The John A. Logan College campus will remain closed to students for another week.

On Wednesday, that caused smoke damage to parts of the campus. Two employees and two firefighters were taken to the hospital.

College officials say all classes will remain online through Friday, Aug. 21. Students with questions or concerns are being asked to email their instructors.

John A. Logan College is also working to assist students with getting books and other supplies needed for the semester.

“Students that have ordered books or need to order books will be able to pick those books up at the Follett’s location at SIU, said Brad McCormick, Vice President for Business Services and College Facilities. “We understand that some students will not be able to go to Carbondale to pick their books up so the College will pay any shipping cost.

Advisement has been extended through 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20. Any JALC student needing help registering for classes should email the advisement office at [email protected].
