(WSIL) -- Two local filmmakers' short movie has made it as a finalist in a national film festival.
Mackenzie Rosario's and JT Boehme's film "Do Not Disturb" highlights the importance of avoiding distracted driving - in a dramatic way.
Boehme says he feels the topic of texting and driving is an important one that isn't discussed enough and is something he could also work on improving.
The short film was accepted into the PBS Short Film Festival, which only features 25 independent projects each year.
Voting for the festival opens to the public on July 13. You can watch and vote for any of the 25 short films .
