...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Peak heat index values up to near 105.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ this evening.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged hot temperatures and high humidity may cause
heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Regional Office of Education #21 to hold career fair in Marion

MARION, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Regional Office of Education #21 is holding a career fair on Wednesday in Marion.

The career fair will take place at the Pavilion on October 9, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

There will be more than 80 vendors on hand ready to meet with potential future employees.

The Pavilion is located at 1602 Sioux Drive in Marion.
