CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- SIU hosted its State of the University address Monday, April 26, but this one was an online speech.
Chancellor Austin Lane highlighted a timeline of accomplishments the university made during the pandemic, including a historic uptick in enrollment and discovering a new COVID-19 variant.
He also discussed the future of the school and what he hopes will bring a better experience for students.
"Number one: student success and engagement, number two: diversity, equity and inclusion, number three: research and innovation, number four: sustainability, and number five: branding and partnership," Chancellor Lane said.
Lane concluded the presentation with a goal of enrolling 15,000 students by 2025.
