CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (WSIL) -- In an update from Southeast Missouri State University, power has been restored and the campus will operate as normal on Tuesday, October 15.
ORIGINAL: 10:46 a.m. -- Southeast Missouri State University has canceled classes and offices for the entire day on Monday.
The closure is for October 14, after the campus experienced a power outage. This is for the main campus, River Campus and regional campuses.
Earlier on Monday, personnel from SEMO alerted the public, students and staff about classes being delayed. An update later on Monday morning stated they extended the closure for the rest of the day.
The SEMO campus is anticipating to be back to normal operations on Tuesday, October 15. Maintenance workers with the university are working on restoring power.
