
GOREVILLE, Ill. -- Ferne Clyffe State Park is preparing to celebrate its 75th anniversary.
The celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 21.
A ceremony with guest speakers will begin at 11:00 a.m.
There will also be guided hikes beginning at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. and at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. and children can enjoy free fishing.

The scenic park offers an abundance of ferns, unique geological features and unusual plant communities that create an atmosphere that enhances the many recreational facilities offered at the park.
Trails wind through picturesque woods, allowing visitors to view fascinating rock formations and inspiring vistas.
