Former deputy pleads guilty to stealing money from Gallatin County school

GALLATIN COUNTY (WSIL) -- A former Gallatin County Deputy has pleaded guilty to stealing money from a local school. 

Bryan J.C. Hargrave, 35 of Shawneetown, pleaded guilty to theft. He received a $500 fine, was ordered to pay $2,000 restitution and serve 100 community service hours. 

In May the Sheriff's Office charged him for stealing funds from an auto mechanic class lock box from the Gallatin County School district while working as a school resource officer.Â
