...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Daily heat index values up to 106.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure to hot temperatures and high humidity
may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Fundraiser at Ziggi's Coffee in Poplar Bluff to help local youth programs

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (WSIL) -- Ziggi's Coffee recently opened its doors in Poplar Bluff and are helping give back to the community.

To celebrate its opening, Ziggi’s is hosting a fundraiser on May 27 to support the Boys & Girls Club of Heartland.

All day long, 20% of sales will be donated to help fund important youth programs in the community.

Whether grabbing a morning coffee or stopping by for an afternoon treat, every purchase will help support local kids and programs.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Heartland is an after-school and summer program which serves school-age youth, ages 6 to 17.

Their mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.

Ziggi's Coffee is open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is located at 2903 Oak Grove Road in Poplar Bluff.
