Free summer meals

MARION, Ill. (WSIL) -- Two local churches are teaming up to provide free meals for children throughout the summer.

Zion United Church of Christ and First United Methodist Church are offering grab-and-go lunches and breakfast items on select days of the week.

Summer program

Starting May 28, children can pick up meals every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The distribution will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at two locations in Marion.

The first site is the north picnic pavilion in Pyramid Park, and the second is the picnic pavilion at Harrison-Bruce Tennis Court.

This initiative aims to support families by ensuring children have access to nutritious meals during the summer months.
