
HERRIN, Ill. -- The Herrin House of Hope prepares for its 13th Annual Family Fun Day Fundraiser.
This fundraiser helps the organization fight food insecurity by providing hunger relief in southern Illinois.
The Family Fun Day is the Herrin House of Hope's biggest fundraiser of the year. The organization invites any local church, business or organization to participate.
Since 2013, the Herrin House of Hope has served more than 400,000 meals in Southern Illinois with help from people and businesses throughout the area.
The Family Fun Day will include live music, food vendors, a car show, horse rides, bouncy houses, a silent auction and many more family-friendly events.
It takes place, rain or shine, Sunday, September 8, at Community of Faith Church at 5208 Meadowland Parkway in Marion from 12:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
