...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Daily heat index values of 100 to 107.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure to hot temperatures and high humidity
may cause heat illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first prolonged stretch of heat and
humidity of the season will amplify health impacts. Health impacts
will build with each successive day in the heat and humidity.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) � The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced several traffic alerts as excessive rain is causing high water levels. 

Detours are expected and the list of roadways could expand throughout the day. 

Here is a list of roads with high water that could pose a hazard for drivers:

Carlisle County: 

  • CLOSED- U.S. 62 between mile marker 3 to 4 near West Fork Creek Bottoms
  • CLOSED- KY 1820 between mile markers 1 to 2. 
  • CLOSED- KY 1628 between KY 1820 AND U.S. 62

Crittenden County: 

  • CLOSED- KY 855 between U.S. 60 and KY 70
  • CLOSED- Tabor Rd. near the Lyon Co. line on KY 1113

Fulton County: 

  • CLOSED- KY 94 between Parker Lane and 1099 Bypass 
  • OPEN- KY 1128 with high water at Mud Creek

Graves County:

  • CLOSED- KY 1374/Trace Creek Rd. due to cross-drain damage between KY 427 and Spence Chapel Rd. 
  • CLOSED- KY 2422 between KY 129 and Wingo Rd. due to bridge damage 

Hickman County: 

  • CLOSED- KY 123 in the Hailwell Corner area 
  • CLOSED- U.S. 51 between mile markers 4 and 5 
  • CLOSED- KY 58 W in the Cane Creek area at the intersection of 1475 
  • CLOSED- KY 307 N between KY 703 and KY 1748  

Lyon County: 

  • CLOSED - KY 1943 between mile markers 3 and 4 near Skinframe Bridge

  • CLOSED- KY 819 at Panther Creek 

  • OPEN- KY 819 with high water between KY 93 and Jack Thomason Rd. 

  • CLOSED- KY 1113 near Crittenden County line is CLOSED 

Marshall County: 

  • CLOSED- Benton-Birmingham Rd. between mile markers 0 to 1.3
  • CLOSED- Slickback Rd. between KY 1518 and Riley Road
  • CLOSED- Wadesboro Rd. from mile marker 7.4 to the I-69 Tunnel
  • OPEN- Scale Rd. between KY 1396/George Clark Rd. (USE CAUTION) Officials say there's an embankment slide.  

McCracken County: 

  • CLOSED- Bonds Rd. between mile marker 0.0 at Hardmoney Rd. and the 2.3 mile marker at KY 450
  • CLOSED- KY 339/Clinton Rd. between the county line and Wurth Rd. 
  • CLOSED- KY 348/ Hardmoney Rd. from McNeil Rd. to the county line 

Trigg County:

  • CLOSED- Barefield Rd. between Montgomery Church Rd. and Wallonia Rd. 
  • CLOSED- Barefield Rd. between mile markers 0 to 1

  • CLOSED- Caledonia Rd./ Burge Creek from mile marker 3.5 to mile marker 9.9

  • CLOSED- Buffalo-Cerulean Rd. between mile markers 0 to 1

  • CLOSED- Wallonia Rd. between mile markers 0 to 1 near the county line  

  • CLOSED- KY 1585 between mile markers 1 to 2 near the county line

  • CLOSED- Cerulean Rd. between mile markers 10 to 11 at Muddy Fork Little River near the county line
  • CLOSED- Scale Road between KY 1396/George Clark Road and KY 782/Sawyer Creek Road
