* WHAT...Peak daily heat index values up to around 105 degrees.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged hot temperatures and high humidity may
cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.

Boil water order issued for Gorham customers on Lake Hill Road lifted

GORHAM, Ill. -- A boil water order has been lifted for water customers in the community of Gorham.

These are for customers who live on Lake Hill Road.

The boil water order went into effect on Monday, October 9.

According to the , you should bring water meant for consumption to a full rolling boil for one minute before use. Using bottled water for drinking and cooking is also a good option.
