BROOKPORT, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Brookport Bridge over the Ohio River will be closed as of 7 p.m. on Saturday night due to the incoming winter weather.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced the closure of the bridge. The US 45 Brookport Bridge connects Brookport, Illinois, to Paducah, Kentucky.
The closure is as a precaution for any inclement weather coming through.
We will alert you when officials reopen the Brookport bridge. In the meantime, motorists are urged to take another route.
