BENTON, Ill. (WSIL) -- A burn ban has been issued for Sunday due to the windy conditions in Benton, Illinois.
The Benton Fire Department informed the public at 9:41 a.m. on April 13, about the burn ban.
Fire officials said they understand there are people doing yardwork this weekend, however, they said it's too windy to burn any leaves or limbs.
The fire department urges the public to be safe and to enjoy the rest of the weekend.
