WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (WSIL) -- A 9-year-old riding a bike was hit by a vehicle at West Frankfort City Park on Sunday, according to police. The incident occurred on April 20 at 4:47 p.m.
The West Frankfort Police Department stated a child sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to St. Louis for treatment. According to police, the driver involved in the incident was not cited.
Authorities said they are not investigating the incident any further.
