EDT/ this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create
hazardous conditions for small craft.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) -- First Responders in Jefferson County spent the day remembering 9/11 in their own way, in the sun at several overpasses throughout the area. 

First responders and other volunteers in the area were at several overpasses throughout Jefferson County on Wednesday in remembrance of 9/11.

Vernon Police Department for all of the first responders and volunteers after the flag waving, pastor Craig Smith for the invocation, and all the other donors and volunteers that helped today.
