Police: Harrisburg tornado siren was a malfunction

HARRISBURG, Ill. (WSIL) -- Officials are looking into why a storm siren went off in Harrisburg on Monday morning.

The Harrisburg Police Department alerted the public about a malfunction with a tornado siren on Monday morning and stated there was no weather related concern.

This happened at the time when the region was experiencing storms moving through the region.

City employees in Harrisburg are looking into the malfunction issue.
