Bost made the announcement on March 7, and the grant was awarded to the Christopher Greater Area Rural Health Planning Corporation. Bost says the grant funds are aimed towards helping improve access to treatments, along with supporting operation costs and staffing.
“Many rural communities in Southern Illinois face are challenged to provide the full range of health care services to local residents," said Bost. "The people of Franklin County will be well-served with this important grant funding, helping expand access to care for patients and supporting the wonderful medical professionals who treat them."
