CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- A Tornado Watch was issued for parts of southern Illinois and western Kentucky on Wednesday.
The Tornado Watch is for areas in Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. The watch for the counties in the WSIL viewing area are in effect until 11 p.m. on March 19.
The main threats are ping pong ball sized hail, wind gusts up to 70 mph and tornadoes.

A red flag warning is also in effect on Wednesday for several southern Illinois counties, including Washington, Randolph, Perry, Franklin, Williamson, Jackson, Johnson, Pulaski, Union and Alexander.
