A resident in McCracken County notified the vehicle owners and contacted the sheriff's office about the break-ins.

The sheriff's office said one suspect left the scene after they were approached by one of the owners of the vehicles before deputies got there.

The other suspect was taken into custody by deputies in an area parking lot.

Deputies then found the fleeing suspect near the New Holt Road area and took him in custody as well.

The sheriff's office said both of these suspects were dropped off in the area and are alleged to have broke into the vehicles and searched for money.

Randy Powell, 18 of Golconda, along with Chanton Lee, 19 of Elizabethtown, were arrested and were taken to the McCracken County Jail.
