Heavy rain leads to flooding in Graves County, one driver rescued

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) -- The heavy rainfall on Thursday brought flooding to certain areas in western Kentucky.

In the early evening hours, the Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden stated the rainfall led to flooding over some roads in the county. The one pictured above was along Ky Highway 58, just east of the Hickman County line.

The photo shows vehicles driving in the flooded roadway.

Sheriff Hayden said another flooded area, along Ky Highway 1283, a vehicle stalled in the water and had to be rescued by first responders.

The sheriff urges motorists to avoided flooded areas.
