PADUCAH, Ky. -- Two people are dead after a two-vehicle crash in Paducah on Monday.

The Paducah Police Department said the crash happened on July 29, at around 1:52 p.m. in the area of Lone Oak Road and Jack Paxton Drive.

Police said Susan Lepisto, 82 of Gilbertsville, was driving a 2005 Toyota car and turning east onto Jack Paxton Drive when authorities said she turned into the path of a 2016 Kenworth Tow Truck, driven by a 42-year-old man from Paducah.

A passenger was also in the Toyota with Susan Lepisto. He was identified as Carl D. Lepisto, 83 of Gilbertsville, Kentucky.

Both Susan and Carl Lepisto were then taken to the Mercy Health Hospital when police said they died from their injuries.

The driver of the tow truck was reported as not injured.

The investigation is ongoing by the Paducah Police Collision Reconstruction Scene.

Paducah Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance Service and McCracken County Department of Emergency Services assisted at the scene.
