(WSIL) -- With the cold temperatures and the winter weather, many people will need a place to get out of the cold and stay warm. 

CARBONDALE

Carbondale Warming center sill be open each day from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. The overflow section in their upstairs is open as well. Intakes will be accepted until 10:30 p.m.

METROPOLIS

Eastland Life Church is open as a warming center Wednesday night from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Use the gymnasium door entrance. 

MURRAY, KY

Murray State University's Racer Arena will be open beginning Wednesday evening at midnight through Saturday morning at 9 a.m.

This schedule will be evaluated based on weather and temperature conditions.

NEW MADRID COUNTY, MO

PADUCAH, KY

The Paducah Warming Center is at Washington Street Baptist Church, located at 739 Washington Street. Those in need can arrive between 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. and leave between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

POPLAR BLUFF, MO

The First United Methodist Church at 500 N. Main in Poplar Bluff is serving as a warming center starting Wednesday at 7 p.m. At this time, the shelter is anticipated to run until Saturday morning. 

They are partnering with FCC Behavioral Health and Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church to provide this service. Donations of sheets, blankets and hygiene items are needed. Due to COVID, new items only please. Financial contributions can be made out to Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church. For more information, call/text 573-429-9369.

ROYALTON

The Royalton Fire Station is open as a warming center. Just contact 618-922-6000 if you need more information. 

WEST FRANKFORT

Warming shelter will be open at the West Frankfort Police Department, 201 E. Nolen Street. 

You can contact your local police department if you are in need of shelter during the winter weather.
