DESOTO, Ill. (WSIL) - A local chef is about to hit the air waves.
Tom's Place Owner and Head Chef, Lasse Sorensen, will premier his new TV show "Food is Love" next month.
The show follows Chef Lasse around a culinary tour of St. Louis as he explores the different cooking styles of chefs there, as well as the culture and relationships centered around the dinner plate.
Sorensen says it's an adventure that he is excited to share with his audience.
He said, "We wanted to do something that was positive for everybody, so we're trying to be inclusive of everybody, and we'll hit on as many different cultures and styles of cooking that we can.
"An underlying thing, it doesn't matter where your from or what your beliefs are, everybody can agree on food. So that is why "Food is Love," Sorensen explained.
"Food is Love" will air on Nine Network, a PBS affiliate in St. Louis.
It will be available on their website after each episode airs.
