MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) â€� A McCracken County man was taken to jail on meth trafficking charges following a traffic stop Wednesday night.Â
Deputies pulled over 56-year-old Ronnie Churchwell for traffic violations.Â
After a warrant search, authorities say Churchwell had outstanding warrants for bail jumping and was detained.Â
Deputies said they searched Churchwell's vehicle and found marijuana and crystal meth. When searching Churchwell, police said they also found a large amount of cash they believed was a part of illicit drug sales.
Churchwell was booked in the McCracken County Regional Jail and faces several charges including 2nd-degree meth trafficking or subsequent offense, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.Â
Authorities say Churchwell was out on bond at the time of the arrest for possessing a firearm as a felon.
