* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Man injured during ATV crash in White County

(WSIL) -- A Georgia man was injured during an ATV crash Thursday.

Illinois State Police say Joel R. Rosenbeck, 40 of Waverly Hall, Georgia, was driving East on County Road 2450 in rural White County. Rosenbeck attempted to make a right hand turn at an intersection, but the ATV overturned and he was thrown off the ATV.

He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Rosenbeck was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (DUI), Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid a Crash, and Illegal Operation of an ATV on a Public Roadway.
