* WHAT...Daily Heat index values up to 106.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure to hot temperatures and high humidity
may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Mark’s Scrubs celebrates 2 years in business

MARION (WSIL) -- Mark's Scrubs Medical Uniforms and Apparel is celebrating its 2nd Anniversary with a full day of events.

Owner Mark French appeared on News 3 This Morning to discuss what is planned for the big day and to give us a little background.

French said he battled multiple sclerosis and during medical visits out of the area he saw the need for a local option to purchase medical uniforms and tools. Mark’s Scrubs Medical Uniforms and Apparel opened in 2019 offering scrubs, stethoscopes, and medical apparel.

Shortly after opening the doors Mark's Scrubs Medical Uniforms and Apparel was featured on WSIL's Brick and Mortar segment. You can find that story .

On Saturday, July 31 Mark's Scrubs Medical Uniforms and Apparel will celebrate the 2nd Anniversary with extended hours (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.), discounts, door prizes, and food trucks.
