NEW MADRID, Mo. (WSIL) -- Seven small earthquakes were recorded in southeast Missouri and northwest Tennessee in the last seven days.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports the seven quakes were recorded starting on October 11 and through October 17, with most happening in New Madrid County and two recent ones near Doniphan.

- 2.8 magnitude
- 6 mile depth
- 3 miles NW of Tiptonville
- This particular quake had seven responses and was felt as far as 340 miles away in Loganville, Georgia, a USGS report stated.
October 15 - New Madrid County
- 2.0 magnitude
- 5 miles depth
- 1 mile NW of Marston

- 1.7 magnitude
- 5 miles depth

October 17 - Ripley County
- 2.7 magnitude
- 6 miles depth
- 3 miles E of Doniphan
- This particular quake had ten responses and was felt as far as 146 miles away in Springfield, Missouri, a USGS report stated.
