BLODGETT, Mo. (WSIL) -- One person is dead after a vehicle crashes with a bicyclist in Scott County on Wednesday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the crash happened along Highway U, roughly one mile west of Blodgett at 5:19 p.m. on November 13.
The MSHP stated a 23-year-old was driving a 2007 Buick Lacross going east when the vehicle hit the bicyclist which was in the roadway.
The bicyclist was identified as a 20-year-old man from Blodgett and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Scott County coroner.
State police said this was the 59th death related to a traffic crash for the southeast Missouri region in 2024.
