First deadly traffic crash reported for southeast Missouri in 2025

DEXTER, Mo. (WSIL) - One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in southeast Missouri on Friday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 10:15 p.m. near Route H and Route ZZ in Stoddard County, roughly 10 miles southwest of Dexter.

State police said a 25-year-old from Malden was driving a 2010 Lexus RX350 when he went off the road during a curve in the roadway, flipped over multiple times and was ejected.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

This was reported by state police as the first death related to a traffic crash in southeast Missouri for 2025.
