POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (WSIL) -- State police in southeast Missouri have responded to more than a hundred calls with dozens of stranded motorists on Friday.
Since the snow started falling in southeast Missouri on January 10, state police were busy responding to people in need out on the roadways.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) Troop E stated at by 2:12 p.m. on Friday, they received 110 calls which include 53 stranded motorists, 37 crashes and three injuries.
State police urge motorists to take it slow out on the roads. They said to allow extra time to get where you're going, increase following distance and make sure you arrive safely.
