WILLIAMSON COUNTY (WSIL) -- The Williamson County Board of Commissioners have unanimously appointed a new circuit clerk.
The board approved the nomination of Justin Maze as the new Williamson County Circuit Clerk.
Maze is a Lieutenant and Supervisor in the Illinois Department of Corrections, served in the Marine Corps, and has a Masters of Business Administration.
Maze's appointment comes after the arrest of former clerk Austin Crabb. She was arrested on DUI charges last week and resigned days later.

When Chairman Jeff Diederich asked him about the position of Williamson County Circuit Clerk, Maze answered, saying, “It will be my honor and privilege to serve the people of Williamson County as their Circuit Clerk and I will commit to doing the best job that I can�.
