...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Peak daily heat index values up to around 105 degrees.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged hot temperatures and high humidity may
cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.

Marion PD host trunk or treat event

(WSIL) -- The 6th annual Marion Police Department Spooktacular returns this weekend. 

It will be Saturday, October 29th from 5 pm to 8pm at Rent One Park. 

Marion Police Chief Dave Fitts stopped by News 3 This Morning to share more. 

Fitts says they are still looking for donations and in particular, any business or individuals that would be willing to have a “Trunk� or “Table� to pass out candy.
