WSIL(Carterville, Ill.)--This morning, most of us are waking up in our northern most counties in the upper 50s and lower 60s with mostly sunny skies. Areas south and west, however, are in the mid to upper 60s and lower 70s with partly cloudy skies.聽
As we go through the day, we will see temperatures warm into the upper 60s and lower 70s by midday, and highs today will be in the upper 70s and lower 70s. We will see mostly sunny skies through most of the morning hours, but as we get into the afternoon, partly cloudy skies can be expected.聽
To compliment these mild highs, we will see dew points today only in the mid 50s, so it will feel very mild and dry tis afternoon.聽
Overnight, we will see mostly clear skies, which will help us cool once again into the 60s and upper 50s to start tomorrow.聽
The heat will return tomorrow with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. Heat index values will match the actual air temperatures. Triple heat index values will return for Wednesday and Thursday, as dew points climb in the mid 70s and actual air temperatures climb into the 90s.聽
We are also tracking chances for rain both Wednesday and Thursday.聽
