Pets of the Week: April 30, 2020

CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- A variety of cats and dogs are up for adoption in this edition of Pets of the Week.

Geisha is a 5-year-old Pitbull Terrier-mix who is potty-trained and gets along fine with dogs and cats. She has a pretty smile after her shyness turns to trust. Unfortunately, she is very leery around men, but the shelter is hoping that can be reversed. For more about Geisha, she is at the Perry County Humane Society.

Clio is one of our longest residents at the Humane Society of Southern Illinois in Murphysboro. Clio is a 5-year-old Domestic Longhair cat with a spunky personality. She is good with other cats as long as they can respect her space. Clio is also sassy and ready to find her perfect forever home!

Becca is a 10-month-old Lab-Pit mix who is healthy and energetic. She knows basic commands like 'sit' and 'down' and enjoys going outside and playing in the yard. She previously lived with kids and seems to do better with older children. She is has been spayed and had her rabies vaccine. go. Marley, an 11-month-old Great Pyrenees-mix is friendly and good with other dogs and kids, but he needs someone that can handle him because he has a lot of energy. He is neutered and can be adopted from Jefferson County Animal Control in Mt Vernon.

Williamson County Animal Control in Marion found a female Pitbull on Mustang Road. She is about 4 to 5 years old and is available for adoption or rescue. Her adoption fee is $162 and that covers the cost of the spay, rabies vaccination, and microchip.
