MARION (WSIL) -- A local woman, working at the Cracker Barrel in Marion, is going viral for her singing.
It started with "Happy Birthday" for a customer and now she hopes to land on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Singer-songwriter Miranda Willmore never imagined Happy Birthday would be the song to set her on a national stage.
"Yeah, I've given my all on a lot of songs, we've even wrote our own songs and I've done multiple different genres and everything. So for Happy Birthday to go viral is, it's insane, it blows my mind. I'm just blown away, " said Willmore.
"It was the most amazing version of Happy Birthday I ever heard. The whole entire restaurant stopped talking, we're listening, they were hooked," said Jared Gravatt, the recipient of the memorable Happy Birthday song.
Willmore hooked millions more as the social media post took off. She says it's exciting and fits a song she wrote.
"Some of the words as, you know, small town famous, who could blame us, living the high life, under the stage lights, up all night and sleep all day, wouldn't want to have it any other way," explained Willmore.
Willmore hasn't made it on Ellen just yet, but she did make an appearance on Good Morning America Sunday, May 23.
