UH Glasses for Aiden

MARION (WSIL) -- This edition of Unsung Hero takes us to Williamson County, where an 11-year-old boy is looking at life through a different lens, thanks to a good Samaritan.

After Aiden Robertson's glasses broke, his mom Debra Robertson took them to Marion Eye Center in Marion for repairs. She said they no longer had the same frames, nor did they have any in the price range of those frames. Debra said she wanted to make sure Aiden had good quality glasses because he is Plus 4 in both eyes and started wearing glasses at 4-years-old.

She said Aiden's frames were under warranty, and it was going to cost her $30 to pay the difference, but she didn't have it. So, she left to get money from her sister, and when she went back to the eye center, she was told a mystery woman had paid for the frames. Aiden got his new glasses this past Monday, and he's happy. He now has a card for the woman who helped him and his mom. They called her a blessing. Debra did make a public post on her Facebook page.

News 3 reached out to Marion Eye Center to see if we could get the name of the person who paid for Aiden's glasses. Administrators said they are working to find out who she is.
