
CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- It has been a warm but cloudy and windy day across the region. The gusty south winds will begin to relax through the evening and overnight hours. However, the chance for light rain will continue.
A light shower chance will linger through the overnight hours, primarily for the southeast portions of the region. Any rain will very light and brief, not a washout.
Much of the day on Friday looks to be very nice. It's going to feel a lot more like spring than winter. High temperatures Friday afternoon will climb into the upper 60s, with some maybe even hitting 70 degrees! Enjoy it.
The chance for rain and even a few thunderstorms arrives by Friday evening and sticks around into early Saturday. An isolated strong storm is possible. Keep an eye on the radar.
By Saturday cooler air will begin to settle in. It will be a warm start to the day, but temperature are expected to drop as the day goes on.
More seasonable conditions will arrive by next week.Â
