WEST SALEM, Ill. (WSIL) � Authorities are investigating a vehicle vs pedestrian incident which resulted in the death of one person on Friday.
The Edwards County Sheriff’s Office said the incident took place on April 25, at 10:30 p.m. along IL Route 130 near the West Salem Crossroads.
The sheriff’s office said multiple agencies responded to the scene and the pedestrian was found dead.
The roadway was shut down while first responders worked the scene.
Investigating the incident is the Edward’s County Sheriff’s Office, the Edward’s County Coroner’s Office and Illinois State Police.
