(WSIL) -- It's not too late to participate in Senator Dale Fowler's "Together We Can" soup drive.

The goal is to reach 50,000 cans. So far, he says they've pledged more than 30,000.
Fowler says the donations will go to those in need.
"We're just asking for more support. They can make a monetary donation and we'll take that money and go to local grocery stores and buy the soup. They can do drop off location, whatever it takes to you know, create more cans so we can supply the families of southern Illinois," he said.
The drive ends on March 15th, but Senator Fowler says you can still donate after that date.
