Carterville Ill. (WSIL) -- While we will keep feeling like fall for today and tomorrow things will be changing throughout our next work week. Slowly our temperatures will be climbing into the mid 80s on Tuesday and eventually low 90s by Wednesday. Not only that but our humidity will slowly creep up as well especially as we head late into the week.

Rain Chances

We are watching a tropical system trying to develop in the gulf that will eventually be moving in our general direction as we head towards Thursday and Friday. Initially this will bring a lot of cloud cover to our region starting on Thursday but we should remain dry. Fridays weather will be extremely dependent on the track of the tropical system. We NEED the rain for our region so model trends right now are our friend with some widespread showers looking likely on Friday. This will potentially leak into parts of next weekend as well. A lot of details to iron out until then so stay tuned!
