MAYFIELD, Ky. -- One person was taken to the hospital after a crash in Graves County which resulted in injuries and a DUI charge.
The Graves County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a report of a crash along I-69 at the 21 mile marker at 10:53 p.m. on May 14.
The sheriff's office said a vehicle was traveling on the interstate ramp going north when the car went off the road, went into a ditch, then traveled back on the northbound lanes of I-69 and hit a concrete barrier in the median. The vehicle reportedly rolled over multiple times during the crash.
The sheriff's office said the driver was trapped inside and unable to move when deputies arrived at the scene.
The driver was identified as Ian Henley, 22 of Mayfield, and was taken to the Jackson Purchase Medical Center, then to Skyline Medical in Nashville, Tennessee, for treatment for his injuries.
The sheriff's office said Henley was believed to have been under the influence of alcohol during the crash. Henley was charged with Driving Under the Influence 1st Offense.
Assisting the sheriff's office in the crash was Mayfield-Graves County EMS, Mayfield-Graves County Rescue Squad and Mayfield Fire Department.
