CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. -- Calloway County officials arrested a man early Wednesday morning for a home-invasion-turned-argument that occurred on Tuesday.Â
Derek A. Brashears, 36, of Murray, was arrested on a warrant at his home after midnight on Wednesday morning. Deputies obtained the warrant for Brashears after failing to arrest him on Tuesday when reporting to a call from the victim of the invasion.
According to officials, Brashears entered the victim's house in the middle of the night. While Brashears reportedly knew the victim, he did not have permission to go inside the home.Â
The victim forced Brashears out of the house when she woke and found him inside. The pair got into a screaming match officials say caused to Brashears break the victim's phone.Â
Brashears ran from the scene and avoided officials' attempts to arrest him until Wednesday.Â
Officials brought Brashears to the Calloway County Detention Center and charged him with the following:Â
