Carbondale library polling residents for mural details

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Carbondale Public Library has asked locals to help decide which books will get featured outside its walls.

The city has launched a survey to determine the stories featured in the library's upcoming mural.

The library received funding for the project through a Healing Illinois Grant. The mural will sit on the Brush Building and focus on racial unity and understanding. The grant was gifted as part of the city's "Racial Healing" program.

The survey is open at . It will remain active through Sunday.
