CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Carbondale Park District is deep in its Summer celebrations.Ìý
The city wrapped up a mini-cap entitled "Ocean Explorers" on Friday, June 7. The camp gave children the chance to see what lives underneath our bright blue seas.Ìý
Participants took part in a number of crafts and activities, including creating paper jellyfish and constructing sandboxes.Ìý
The Ocean Explorers camp was but one of the many Summer offerings in Carbondale this year. The parks have a . Upcoming children camp themes include "Little Gardeners," "Mini Picassos," "Space Camp," and more. Adults can join in on the fun, too, with swim lessons, karate camps and a co-ed softball game.Ìý
