MORNING TO 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Southwest winds around 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph
expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From 11 AM CDT /noon EDT/ this morning to 7 PM CDT /8 PM
EDT/ this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create
hazardous conditions for small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Construction planned along US 51 in Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky. -- A construction zone will appear on US 51 in Carlisle County Tuesday. 

The Kentucky Transportation Committee District 1 announced the zone on Friday. Crews will limit travel lanes to an 8.5 ft. width at the 2.3 mile near Hurricane Branch Culvert. Work will focus on sheet piling installation. 

Drivers will follow crewmembers with flags to navigate through the zone. Crews remind those who plan to pass through the zone to use caution as delays could occur. 

Work is set for 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday only. Weather or possible erosion discovery could delay this project.
