ELIZABETHTOWN, Ill. -- Local seniors came together Sunday to raise money for one of their favorite centers.Â

The Elizabethtown Gold Circle is providing lunch on Sunday while accepting donations for the center. The center is giving out chicken & dumplings, mashed potatoes, green beans, a hot roll, dessert and a drink to all visitors.
$10 donations are suggested for adults and $5 for children in return.Â
The fundraiser was organized with help from the Fowler Bonan Foundation and Heaven's Kitchen.Â
The event began at 11:00 Sunday morning and will continue until 2:00 p.m.Â
The fundraiser comes two months after Illinois' centers faced possible closure due to a lack of funds.Â
