CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Gaia House in Carbondale is working to fix its appearance.Â
The house held a music fundraiser at the Varsity Theater to raise money for the cause. Shenanigans & Malarkey, Foster's Satchel and SIWADE all performed at the show.Â
"Our iconic bridge is in a state of disrepair," said Gaia House. "We need funds to help get it fixed."Â
One commenter on the House's supported and advocated for the cause.Â
"That bridge is a symbol of bridging the gap between people of all types in a peaceful and safe place full of empathy and healing," wrote Tom Tucker. "I owe a lot to this location."Â
